Frequently Asked Questions — Gimme Virtual Golf

Everything you need to know before your visit to Edmonton's premier indoor golf lounge.

What time should I arrive for my booking?

Please arrive at least 10 minutes early so we can check you in and get you set up in your bay. Booking times are strictly enforced — late arrivals may result in shortened play time without a refund.

What's your cancellation policy?

Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance of your booking. Group bookings and private events may have separate policies — please inquire when you book.

How do I book a bay?

Book online at gimmevirtualgolf.ca/book-online for the best availability. Walk-ins are welcome when bays are available, but Friday and Saturday evenings book up fast.

How much does it cost to play?

Our pricing is per room (not per person), with a recommended maximum of four players per bay. During summer, the rate is a flat $36 per hour for non-members. In fall and winter, rates are tiered by member level and time slot. Members receive a discount at all times. See our pricing page for the full schedule and our membership page for member rates.

What are your hours?

We're open every day from 10AM to 10PM. Last booking is accepted one hour before close to ensure adequate play time. Hours may change seasonally — check our website or call 780-854-7768 for the most current schedule.

 

How many people can play in one bay?

Each private bay comfortably fits up to 4 players. For the best experience — clear sight lines to the screen, comfortable seating, and an efficient pace of play — we recommend keeping each bay to 4 players or fewer. For groups larger than 4, we recommend booking multiple connected bays.

What should I wear?

Comfortable athletic clothing and clean, indoor golf shoes. Outdoor footwear is not permitted in the simulator bays. In winter, please remove wet or snowy boots in the entrance area and use the provided mats and boot trays before entering simulator areas.

 

Can I bring my own golf clubs?

Yes — personal clubs are recommended, but they must be clean and free of debris. Damaged or dirty clubs can harm the simulator surfaces, so please check before play. Club rental is also included with every booking if you'd rather use ours.

 

Can I bring my own golf balls or tees?

No. Our simulators use an auto-tee-up system and a specific brand and model of balls to ensure optimal, consistent performance. We provide everything you need — please leave personal tees and balls at home.

 

What golf simulators do you use?

All our bays feature Golfzon TwoVision+ simulators, used at top training facilities and indoor golf venues around the world. TwoVision+ uses high-speed cameras and a precision launch monitor to capture every detail of your swing and ball flight, with auto-tee-up and a moving swing plate for one of the most realistic indoor golf experiences available.

 

How many courses can I play?

You can play more than 240 world-famous courses, including Pebble Beach, St Andrews, Whistling Straits, Bay Hill, and many more. New courses are added regularly through Golfzon's course library.

 

Do I need the Golfzon app?

We recommend downloading the Golfzon app, creating a profile, and logging in before you play. This unlocks score tracking, leaderboards, and the full Golfzon experience across every visit.

 

Can I bring outside food?

Yes — outside food is welcome. We also have a simple food menu available if you'd prefer to order while you're here. Food is served directly to your private bay.

Can I bring outside alcohol?

No. We serve alcohol and outside alcohol is not allowed on the premises. Please drink responsibly — guests who appear intoxicated may be asked to call a taxi or Uber home for everyone's safety.

 

Is smoking or vaping allowed?

Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited inside the facility. We have a designated outdoor smoking area — please use it respectfully and dispose of waste properly.

 

Is Gimme family-friendly?

Yes. We're a family-friendly facility and expect respectful behavior and appropriate language from all guests. If there's ever an issue during your visit, please let our team know immediately.

 

Where are you located and is there parking?

We're at 10846 170 St NW Edmonton, AB T5S 2H7 — in Edmonton's West End, just off the Yellowhead and a short drive from West Edmonton Mall. There's free on-site parking, and our entrance and restrooms are wheelchair accessible.

 

Do you have leagues?

Yes — we run scramble-format leagues year-round with live leaderboards. Scramble play means teams pick the best shot after each stroke, making it welcoming for golfers of all skill levels. Leagues run multiple nights per week with seasonal rosters. See our Leagues page or call 780-854-7768 to join.
